I was looking for treadmill that has plenty of horse power and has a large enough running area for around a thousand dollars and so I took a chance on this lesser known or sold Schwinn brand gym equipment. If I am not mistaken this is very close in specs to the Bowflex Series 7 Treadmill”same company/maker”, at the time was two hundred more than the 860. I thought I would go to Local sports store “after the fact”. Compared to the six or seven treadmills they sell. There was no comparison to their most expensive treadmill. I have been using it 2-3 times every day for 4 weeks all I can say is, it’s quiet, strong and very smooth walking or running. You may want to purchase LifeSpan Fitness 100% Silicone Treadmill Belt Lubricant. I did noticed the belt was not well lubricated when it arrived or it had dried and dissipated. My buddy who works as a trainer at our local rec-center thought it was a great for a home machine as well.
I would have given it five stars except “Its not perfect”
The only thing that bothers me is the programming a course to run, seems very redundant to customize and limited every time you want to run. I would have been willing to pay extra for the ability to save this info to a memory or a flash drive like some higher end models.
As for the rear belt guard that others are leaving off due to (noise) rubbing of the belt. It is poorly designed but does work fine if installed properly. It is adjustable so it doesn’t touch the belt.
You may need help moving this thing, its heavy (250 pounds plus). My treadmill was delivered about one week after ordered without issues. The delivery guy took it off the truck and with a palette jack moved it from the truck to inside the garage. I made the mistake of cutting the straps around the box thinking maybe I could move it in pieces. That made it impossible to move by myself because it’s folded, partially assembled and couldn’t be disassembled without getting into the wiring harness etc. If I had left the box alone I think I could have man handled it up the stares and in the house with out bothering my neighbors.

Needless to say, anytime you spend $1100 on anything it isn’t a snap decision. Me and my wife have one child and a baby on the way. So I deliberated long and hard before making this purchase.
I’ve tried to go cheap on the treadmills. A $200 Walmart special lasted about a month before the warranty ran out and they were no long to send out replacement parts. So this time no chances were to be taken. There was a few objectives in mind before this purchase 1) Warranty – I knew that using the treadmill was a long term proposition and I needed something that was going to last more than a couple of months. I’m trying to lose 40lbs not 5lbs. 2) Sturdy construction – Anything that is going to last a long time with somebody jumping on it everyday some times twice a day, flimsy just wasn’t going to cut it. This thing ways 250lbs out of the box. 3) Heart rate monitor – I’m not a believer in making running into some kind of chore where you track your heart rate down to the second and make sure your at your target heart rate. But this machine has a very nice one and that’s a plus. 4) Nice Logo – Schwinn has a nice logo(I’m kidding).
The review.
I takes longer to get out of the box than assemble. Total time 20min for both. Super quiet – my wife can’t here this machine on upstairs when I’m in the basement(we live in a single story ranch. Very sturdy construction.
Beautiful multi color display and fan. Creates a nice little breeze.
Only a single Con – It was missing a single bolt that holds the frame together. Customer service shipped it out in short order.
I love this Mill!!!

This treadmill exceeds expectations. Only using it now for about a month, but it was quite easy to assemble and get going. Seems to be well worth the money and I am quite happy with purchase. Now all I need is the motivation to get up to 3-5 miles per day which may be a while off, but it will be easy on this fine machine. It seems to be as good a quality as the ones I used at the local gym.

I purchased this treadmill since I had canceled my gym membership and it was too cold to walk much outdoors. I really do love it. I travel extensively and I use a lot of hotel treadmills and ones at gyms and this is just as good as any of them. Very stable and no slippage of the belt (yet.) I also purchased the mat (on wood floors) and the spray for the belt at the same time. My only complaint is the heart monitor. I don’t think it is accurate. I know enough about using them at other locations to know just about what my heart rate usually is and it is MUCH lower on this readout. Since I seldom use that it is a small thing.
This weighs a bunch so be ready for help moving it to the room you need it in.
SO FAR, been using it religiously…hope that continues. Will post an update if I have any problems.

I’ve had this product for a week or so. It is about as big and sturdy as one you would find in the gym. It seems very well built. It is VERY heavy. I was ecstatic to be able to put it together without the use of the instructions. It was very easy to assemble. There was only one thing I could have saved myself from doing twice had I read the book. There were two bolts that needed to be installed prior to the water bottle holders.
I wanted to see what I could figure out before I read the manual. It is pretty user-friendly. I was up and running (sorry, couldn’t help that) in minutes after assembly. I had to turn a couple of bolts to adjust the belt so it wouldn’t rub as it went around. Other than that, I put on the provided heart monitor and before I stepped back on to the machine, it was already reading my heart rate. I was impressed. The rate didn’t jump all over the place either. I figured out how to select programs, but I find myself just using the manual feature right now.
I do look forward to seeing what else it can do once I read the manual. I will edit my comments to reflect the ease of understanding the manual and any additional features that may be of interest. Post any comments/questions and I will address those too. So far, all pros and no cons about this machine. I now am turning a negative (watching TV) into a positive by walking slowly as I watch. You’d be surprised how fast miles rack up while watching your favorite DVR’d shows. Sometimes I walk slowly enough so as not to work up a sweat and other times I just feel like jogging along. It is much harder to hear the TV running though.
